Recently I have found myself photographing our beautiful and unique birds.. The Onkaparinga River is only a few short miles away and has a number of birds residing on its shores.
The heron images were taken along the banks of the Onkaparinga River. I have used a coloured vignette on most of them and lightened the water quite a bit. White heron ..or I think they are called egrets have a beautiful white trailing plumage on their back and neck during the breeding seasons, it was this that I was hoping to see. Unfortunately these herons were feeding, when they display their plumage similar to a peacock, it looks quite spectacular.
See you next week. Wendy.
