Coastal living.... beers, brollies, boards, Moana beach, Adelaide.

We have always lived near the coast.

For many people the coast has a drawing which is an indescribable pull that becomes an ache in their heart and soul. The waves, the salt air, the seabirds, the cool refreshing swims in the evenings....

For others it is a turn off...the thought of sand in between their toes is a nightmare!

If you love the beach then Moana beach is a beautiful spot along the coast line of the city of Adelaide. You may drive on the beach and back your car up right near the waves, then beers, brandies, snags and chips are dragged out of the coolie bins in the back of the SUV and put into the cup holders on the sides of deck chairs, arm chairs. and hammocks.

(Side note...take $8 on busy school holidays they charge for a car to drive on the beach during these times.) We usually go after 5pm when there is no longer a fee.

Tents and umbrellas of all shapes and sizes are hoisted towards the sky. Dogs, kids, boogie boards and birds mingle with each other and catch the forever incoming waves until the sun sets on the distant, blazing horizon.

Over the past months we have frequented the beach for a swim almost every day. Health reasons, slow living reasons, happy reasons, any reason is good enough!

Browse through the images below and catch the summer vibes, and pray they will stay with you until the warmer days come again.

Dogs, birds, cars and more.
Boards
Sun chair to gaze at the setting sun.
Conditions are good today but it can be a bit of a risk taking two wheel drives on the beach as many a car has been bogged in the sand.
Yachts passing
Birds chasing
Seabirds by the dozen at this beach.
Waiting for fish
Fishers of men
Windy days
No swimmers today.
The day draws to a close
Last swimmers in the warmth of the evening.
Some just cannot get enough..

See you next time.... Wendy.
