The colour of our earth. On a recent trip along the Erye Peninsula, we travelled past Streaky Bay, the farmland really stood out to me.
In the twilight the encroaching darkness turned the earth an eye catching deep, dark brown. Just beautiful!!
I noticed farmers had begun ploughing their land and the activity and life certainly energised me. Their lives are not easy and lately I have noticed a deluge of criticism on social media, damning them for many of their practises. Wow so much effort and hard work... facing the harshest of weather and now they have to face the harshest of criticism from many other sources.
I hope that my images remind us of the complexity and innumerable issues they face. They are indeed the salt of the earth, without them we would not survive.
I think our farmers need our prayers not our policies.
Death will not hold them down and life will continue to come from their hand.
Thanks so much for stopping by, see you next time.
