GOD sets the times and seasons, God sets the temperatures and the weather.
Genesis 8.22. While the earth remains there will be seed time and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night, shall not cease.
The arguments I read all over social media do two things:
* They lead us to live by fear and not by faith. * They divide, we don't need division we need unity
No, I am not qualified to speak on global warming, so I have no opinion. But I would love to think I am helping in whatever way I can in my own backyard to make our earth a better place.
But can I tell you a small story, maybe it illustrates some of my thoughts..
Many, many, many years ago when I was in my early twenties... I would wander down to my local store and buy my bread with no coverings, just a bare loaf in my bare hands, until one day, (not me)....someone got hepatitis and died from a bare handed loaf of bread. Some concerned citizens felt sorry for the dead man.
So they petitioned and demonstrated and gathered the forces to get what they wanted. ( Bread to be wrapped. )
And wrap it they did! Then it felt good and they made money from their wrappings, (Lots and lots of money.) So they proceeded to try again and again in so many ways and in so many areas of life. And much of life needed a wrapping, but so many wrappings became trappings.
I NEVER EVER wanted bread to be wrapped, although I fought against it, the minority won.
And now they hate me because I love my bread unwrapped.
And what's worse is, now they blame me for wanting wrapped bread...
Oh what a predicament I am in, who can save me from this wretched situation?
Only the one qualified to speak on global warming, I guess I will listen to Him.
My images are of the secret untouched places that we have on our incredible planet, .....
I don't usually comment on current issues or trends, but whilst observing the countryside of Canterbury, New Zealand, I wondered what purpose in life there was to living in angst and unrest. Surely godliness with contentment is great gain.
And so we made a place to rest and eat
Then the sun went down and the frozen ground turned pink
Snowing in the hills
Lakeside view New Zealand
Fog drifts in the valley
Mt Potts above the fog
That same evening the earth displays its magic once again.
